SONATA is a concert adventure for the uninhibited audience. A collection of plays that embrace, explore and exploit actors who perform without text to hold them up or hide them, SONATA limits or removes spoken text and exposes the actor, like a nerve, out in the open to reveal the essence of character for the audience.

Presented in four suites ― Hi. Yes. Okay. Sorry  trio, Silence dueto, Soundtrack trio and Tiny Coffin SONATA strips language down to its most basic parts. What happens to a play when the text is not spoken and what happens to character when you give actors freedom from the bonds of text?

It’s acting in the nude.

This production is presented as a part of the 2015 Capital Fringe Festival, a program of the Washington, DC non-profit Capital Fringe.
