Returning the to Capital Fringe Festival following a series of critical hits with Sonata and Hello | Brother  Annexus Theatre Company presents Shakespeare's newest dark-comedy. Presented in collaboration with Longacre Lea, and featuring filmmakers Kathleen Akerley and Séamus Miller as the Live-feed Camera Operator.

 

In March of 2019 the King Denmark, President and CEO of Denmark Paper and Textiles in Denmark New Jersey, died and split his company among his three sons Richard III, Duncan, and Macbeth, and his grandchildren Juliet and Hamlet.  What follows is the [un]true story, of seven family members, picked to come back to the family house, have Thanksgiving dinner together, and have their lives taped. Find out what happens, when people stop being polite, and start getting [un]real… The Real Thanksgiving Vacation at Macbeth's!

A family reality tele-drama mash-up featuring characters from William Shakespeare's Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet, Titus Andronicus, Richard III, Macbeth, Julius Caesar, Henry V, Othello, Merchant of Venice, and King Lear  wrapped in a parody of Family Guy and National Lampoon Vacation movies, this is a ridiculous family comic-tragedy reworking [mostly] Shakespeare's text for the modern reality-television art form and performed for a live audience.
